Shoe Rack.

A quick 3 hour jobbie, design a shoe rack made of oak. Nowt fancy, just a rack for shoes and boots of varying sizes. The two designs are similar, one has an oak panel for an upright another has an oak frame. The shelves are adjustable to allow for tall, knee heigh boots to be stored. This feature panders for the female exotic dancers and drag queens boot storage needs.

Merry Festive Holiday Yule Tide Glory!

Happy Decembers!

Its that time of year again and I have been being making a gift for my mum. My mum requested some geet big letters that spell out the word 'LOVE' in capitals no less, like its being shouted from atop the Mt. Chimborazo by a fire breathing dragon!!!. The massive letters are made of a fiery grained Beech wood, locally sourced from the Peak District, made by me at the Finkfurniutre workshop.

Check out my Flickr Photostream to see what the timber looked like before i slaughtered it with love.

In other news, I was set the task of solving a problem for Finkfurniture. I had to create some visualisations for some shelves for a curved room. The shelves must be adjustable, store items of sizes from Cd's to Vinyl and almost be invisible, The budget is low for this part of the job. The main problem was to create a desk spanning 4 meters, totally level, unsupported by legs, be made of solid oak and have a section in the middle that can be removed and stored with elegance. Quite a task, but achievable.

The image above shows the basic features of the room. The gap on the wall to the left represent a floor to ceiling window, this is where that section of the desk needs to be removed so that window is accessible.

The best solution so far is to have the removable section split into two, fold back on them selves and be slid underneath the curved desk. I will hopefully have a video of this in action once the job is complete.

And finally.

Check out these shops I have set up. One selling Off Cut products the other selling Jewelery be Beba Bespoke.
